We're gonna go out of order for this so first Gamer - I like to game, 26 - the date of my birthday/favorite number, for the Art-Stop on here - I like to post art. Now for the Heart part. It come from having a CHD or congenital heart defect (pretty much means from birth) known as Tricuspid Atresia. Growing up I would have a series of surgeries to try to fix it to the best of their ability (If I understand correctly how they do it now is a bit different than how they did it for me due to advances in medical field). These series were a Fontan Operation , a shunt place, a shunt repair, adding a pacemaker and then replacing the pacemaker. It's going to be with me for the rest of my life so to help me embrace it in my own weird way I added Heart to a lot of my usernames. TLDR - I have a Heart Defect, I'm a Gamer, 26 is my favorite number/birthdate, and on here Art-Stop is because I like to post art Now then I tag @sapphire-heart-tippy @peskyvinot @soraxkingdom

Now is not the time for you to be this busy Eddie!!!

You thought about it a little while longer, debating calling Eddie again or calling someone else. That was when you decided to call Wayne.

“Hello?” Wayne answered gruffly.

“Hey Wayne, are you uh, are you busy right now?” You asked.

“Hey darlin’ is everything okay?” He questioned.

“Yeah, well not actually, Eddie isn’t answering his phone and I ugh…I need to go to the hospital.” You rambled.

“Okay, you hang tight, I will be there soon! Keep calling Eddie okay?”

With that, Wayne hung up the phone and made his way to the truck, ignoring most traffic laws in hopes to get to you as soon as he, legally, can.

The last seven years had been a whirlwind. Eddie had proposed to you six months after you heard him tell Wayne he was going to, that was 1986.

It was now 1993, and things were completely different than when you met Eddie. Since then, your parents had retired and started going on cruises, which is where they happened to be now. Wayne still worked at the factory but had cut back on his hours to help you and Eddie out.

Eddie got a job at a local body shop, he had stopped dealing drugs because it wasn’t safe anymore, given the expansion of your family. You had gone to school and were now working as a nurse, taking after your mom.

Your parents had surprised you and Eddie after you got married by buying you a house, they had sold theirs and bought a trailer, close to Wayne’s seeing as they were travelling so much. The house they bought you was modest, a one story, three-bedroom, two bathroom. It had a nice grassy yard that allowed you to host your friends should you choose. It also had a basement which was perfect for Eddie to transform into the ultimate DND room.

You had been pregnant at the wedding, not that either of you had been aware of that fact. You had found out about a month later and in the fall of 1987 your first child was born.

Eddie and you had two beautiful children, a son, Ronnie 6, and a daughter, Vivian 3. Both are named after members of Dio. You were hesitant at first, but after Eddie really got you into metal music (especially Dio) you caved.

Which leads you to now, spring 1993, you were currently in labor with your twins. Naturally Eddie wasn’t answering his phone, he hadn’t even wanted to get a mobile phone, but you had convinced him when you found out the potential risks of a multiples pregnancy. With your parents on a ship somewhere in the Mexican Riviera, you had no other choice but to call Wayne.

A knock on the door shook you out of your thoughts. You waddled your way over to the door, just as Wayne let himself in.

“Thank you for coming Wayne!” You huffed.

Eddie you had better be at the hospital for this birth!

“Of course, kiddo. Where are the rugrats?” Wayne asked.

“They’re with Steve and Nancy today.” You explained as you gathered your things.

I’m on my way! Please be okay!

“You got everything you need?” Wayne asked.

“Uh yeah…” looking around one last time, “I think that’s everything.” You nodded.

Wayne reached for your bag and led you out to his truck. He opened your door for you and helped you up into the truck, refusing to leave your side until you were settled and buckled in. He finally made his way around to the driver’s side and started your journey to the hospital.

“Any word from the boy yet?” Wayne questioned.

“Not via phone if that’s what you’re asking” you took a sharp breath in “I can hear him internally panicking though.” You huffed out a laugh, trying to control your breathing.

As Wayne wheeled you into the hospital, a horde of your coworkers made their way to you. They were congratulating you, helping you get checked in, ensuring you were okay and honestly it was becoming a bit overwhelming. All you wanted was for Eddie to be by your side and for these babies to exit your womb.

Where are you?

I’m here, I’m here. Please don’t have the babies without me!

An OB nurse and Wayne walked with you to your room, Wayne began setting your things up around the room while the nurse got your vitals and those of the babies. While she did this, you could hear shoes scuffing along the linoleum floors.

“I’m here!” Eddie hollered, out of breath.

“Glad you could make it.” You bit. “Sorry, it’s the contractions talking.”

“It’s okay baby!” Eddie leaned over and kissed your forehead.

He walked over to assist Wayne in setting up the rest of your things. The two of you had made a list and were sure to pack all the things you wished you had during the last two births.

“I um, I got everything I need here. I’m just going to go get your doctor and I will be right back.” The nurse expressed wearily before making her exit.

She clearly didn’t read the chart and is concerned about Toni’s CHD.

Eddie let out a slight chuckle which caused Wayne to shoot him a questioning glance. Wayne let Eddie know he was going to go get a coffee and that he’d be in the waiting room. He also informed you guys that he would call your parents and your friends to inform them you were in labor.

“Hey you two! You ready to have these babies?” Your doctor asked as she entered your room.

“Hey Dr. Evans, and yes I am so ready for these two to be out of me!” You sighed.

“Well good, because by the looks of it, you shouldn’t have to wait too much longer.” Dr. Evans explained. “Also, I am sorry about the nurse earlier, she’s new, she doesn’t know you work here, or that you guys are more than aware of Toni’s congenital heart disease.”

“It’s okay!” You released a shaky breath as another contraction rolled through you.

“Can you explain it all to me again? I know we’ve gone over it, I just, I want to hear it again.” Eddie pleaded.

“Of course, so Toni has a tiny hole in her heart wall, so once she is out, our pediatric surgeon will take her to the operating room and repair it! Once it is all fixed up, she will be in the NICU for a little while, just while she heals and then she will be all set to go home and grow up! She will have to have regular checkups, but she’ll lead a relatively normal life.” Dr. Evans explained.

A hole in her heart, Jesus. She’s not even born and already her life is hard.

“Eds, honey she’s going to be okay. This is sadly more common than you’d think.”

Eddie placed his hand on your shoulder, appreciating your support. You looked up at him as another contraction ripped through you. You took a few more deep breaths, glancing over to Dr. Evans. She checked you once more and informed you that it was time.

Everything happened seemingly all at once. First out was Ozzy, he was taken over to be cleaned up and measured, next was Toni who was almost immediately taken to her surgery. Dr. Evans stitched you up (birthing twins was no joke…neither was the tearing that occurred) and congratulated you both. She also let you know that someone would be by to keep you updated on Toni’s status.

Eddie was sitting in the recliner holding Ozzy while you rested. Steve and Nancy were on their way with your kids, excited to meet the new additions to your family. Robin and Dustin called to let you know they’d be by soon and they were bringing you some real food.

A nurse stopped in to let you know that Toni was still in surgery, but it was going well, when you heard tiny feet slapping against the floor, growing in volume.

“Mommy!” Ronnie yelled, running to your bedside.

“Hey bug.” You reached your hand down to brush his curls back out of his face.

“Sorry! He’s so fast!” Steve apologized.

Steve lifted Ronnie and placed him at the foot of your bed, all the while Nancy was walking in with Vivian, who was fast asleep in her arms. She smiled at you and wished you congratulations and when her gaze landed on Eddie, she couldn’t help but coo at the sleeping baby resting on his chest.

Robin and Dustin entered moments later with a pizza, some soda, and a few gift bags in hand.

“Hey! Any word on Toni yet?” Robin asked as she wrapped you in a hug then made her way to poke at Ronnie, who burst into a fit of giggles.

“Uh not yet, the nurse just let us know that her surgery was going well.” Eddie explained.

The night seemed to drag, the food and good company was a nice distraction from the fact that your daughter’s tiny heart was being worked on. You were thankful for your friends, especially that they’d all been so willing to hang around until you heard more.

“Hey there” Dr, Evans popped her head in your room “I just wanted to let you know that Toni is out of surgery, she did great and is on her way to the NICU now! I can take you both over there if you’d like to see her?”

You glanced at your friends who all nodded in unison, their way of silently telling you to go and that they could watch Ronnie and Vivian. You smiled at them and allowed Eddie to help you into a wheelchair. Dustin gently handed Ozzy back to you and then Dr. Evans escorted you to the NICU.

“So don’t be alarmed, she’s hooked up to a few machines, but it is just to monitor her heart function and her vitals.” Dr. Evans stated, more so for Eddie than you.

Eddie pushed your chair over to the incubator that currently housed your daughter. You looked in at her, she was so tiny, there was a small bandage placed on her chest. Looking over at Dr. Evans, she nodded signaling it was okay for you to open the side panel and hold your baby.

You reached your left hand in while cradling Ozzy in your right. Eddie made his way around to the other side and reached in to hold Toni’s other hand.

She’s so beautiful, they both are.

You’re so beautiful. Thank you for making me a dad, again.

A tear slipped down your cheek. You were so incredibly happy to have Eddie by your side and four beautiful children. You couldn’t wait to be by their sides as they found love the same way you had with Eddie.

This life was such a gift, and you were so grateful for all of it.

Thank you for bringing light into my life. Thank you for loving me.

i want to have more representation of people with congenital heart defects.

i have a congenital heart defect, and i've known about it for my whole life, and i've never felt represented.

it's not rare (rare conditions deserve representation, too!), it's kinda 2% of children are born with congenital heart defects, but like. where we are? oh i forgot. we either die in early childhood or get surgery and become perfectly healthy (tm). /sarcasm

when i look for media about characters with congenital heart defects, it's either tragedy (tm) or inspiration porn. when i look for experiences of people with congenital heart defects, it's either parents of children with chd (i don't mind of caregivers being in disabled spaces, but a) i wanna see actual people with chd too; b) their discussions are from parents to parents, so they don't center living experiences of people with chd and it's not all what i looking for; c) some of them are ableist), or medical articles, or tragedy stories (tm) centering struggles of caregivers of people with chd, or inspiration porn, and very rarely actual people with chd being people and talking about their experiences.

like. i wanna awareness and acceptance. i wanna stuff like for some others disabilities, i wanna "nothing about us without us," i wanna pride, fuck, i even agree on discourse (/half-jokingly), i wanna something besides radio silence!

there is tons of info! there is tons of shit to debunk, there are tons of questions to consider, there are tons of overlaps and comorbidities and intersections! (what am i doing i'm literally promoting talks about chds to online community. here lack of representations can get you. /jokingly)

do you know that chds aren't rare? do you know that surgery (tm) doesn't make you perfectly healthy? do you know that surgery isn't always performed on infants/younger children? do you know that surgery isn't always necessary? do you know that lots of us have to undergo several surgeries, sometimes lots of surgeries? do you know that lots of us have other disabilities, congenital or acquired? do you know that surgeries (tm) cause complications (tm)? do you know that lots of chromosomal conditions are associated with/directly causing chds? everyone knows that autism often co-occures, if not causes, the digestive issues, but do you know about high comorbidity of autism and chds? (maybe i overestimate awareness about autism & digestive issues overlap. i'm sorry if it's so. it wasn't intended to erase someone's experience. i just often see talks about autism & digestive issues in popular autism advocacy and never see any mentions of chds. i don't know how to word it better. i recognize we still need to raise awareness about autism & digestive issues comorbidity, especially awareness that doesn't center lsn perspective. i appreciate work of autism & digestive issues comorbidity advocates. i simply mean that we need autism & chd awareness and advocacy too). do you know that anesthesia may cause brain damage? do you know that connective tissue disorders have a huge comorbidity with chds because the cardiovascular system contains lots of connective tissue?

do you know that infectious diseases are dangerous for us because we can get heart complications? do you know that we are often immunocompromised because of our chds?

do you know about ableism towards us? do you know about the idea that heart problems are something for elder people and not for children/teenagers/young adults? do you know how anti-fatness stereotypes and narratives affect us and frame our experiences? do you know that heart problems are often framed as personal fault and failure, as a result of having a "bad lifestyle?" do you know how extremely healthist the society attitude towards heart conditions is? do you know that, while heart conditions are often framed as something "extremely serious," our struggles are often overlooked, denied, and erased because of assumptions around this idea (children can't be disabled, children can't have something serious (tm), chds are only for children so adults can't have them (if you have chd, when you get 18 yo, you explode, i assume /sarcasm), surgery (tm) completely fixes us (tm), so if we have some symptoms after surgery, no we don't, and more more more).

Two years ago Mary Holland, J.D., president and general counsel at Children’s Health Defense (CHD), asked me to write a review of a most remarkable book, “Turtles All the Way Down: Vaccine Science and Myth”. Holland edited the book, originally written in Hebrew in 2019. The text of my review which was published in The Defender appears in its entirety below. You can read it here.

As I mentioned in the review, this book is a MUST READ for anyone who is interested in engaging in the contentious vaccine debate from an informed position. Though the authors chose to publish the book anonymously (for very practical reasons), the 1,200+ citations from mainstream sources and the CDC and FDA are a testament to the authors’ rigorous approach to unpacking a complicated topic that has been distorted by decades of Pharma controlled influence.

The thesis of the book is simple, there is no evidence that the long term benefit of most, if not all, of the childhood immunizations outweigh the risk. The reason why we know this is true is because none of them have been tested against a saline placebo in long-term studies. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and others demanded that the HHS produce a single double blind, placebo control study of any immunization on the CDC’s childhood vaccine schedule.

In an official response to the demand, Melinda Wharton, MD, MPH, the acting director of the National Vaccine Program Office at the time could not cite a study but instead explains in the HHS’s official response:

“Inert placebo controls are not required to understand the safety profile of a new vaccine, and are thus not required.”

This isn’t epidemiological question. It’s an epistemological one. Without a saline placebo as comparison, no claim can be made about a vaccine’s safety profile. Sorry Dr. Wharton, you are wrong and one doesn’t need a medical degree or a masters degree in public health to know this. If this isn’t obvious, why then are medicines trialed against sugar pills (the oral equivalent of injectable saline) if it isn’t necessary to establish a safety profile? Could it be because vaccine manufacturers are not liable for damages caused by their vaccines but are liable if their medicines cause harm?

What set abuse allegations did Rachel Bilson brush off?

Here's a rough timeline... sorry I went maybe deeper into detail than you were expecting

Mischa to E! on May 14, 2021: "[...] sort of general bullying from some of the men on set that kind of felt really shitty. But, you know, I also loved the show and had to build up my own walls and ways of getting around dealing with that and the fame that was thrust specifically at me. Just dealing with like the amount of invasion I was having in my personal life, I just felt very unprotected, I guess is the best way to put it.”

Within I want to say a week or two, Rachel and Melinda are asked about Mischa's interview on their podcast (or Danny Pellegrino's, it really doesn't matter, it was uploaded as part of the show podcast for 106) and they both say they never saw bullying on set. And they both extend an invitation to MB to come on their pod to explain herself? It's maddening.

RB says, trying to be funny, "I mean come on, clearly she was having fun. I mean, this episode she’s just making out with Ben McKenzie. What could be so wrong? And listening to Rooney.”

And because we know now that Ben and Mischa dated during s1, that's extra salt in the wound. Rachel of all people was aware of their saga, even if it was 20 years ago. As if dating someone and listening to live music..... means there was no mistreatment?

So then the show's mysterious entities speak to Page Six on June 2, 2021, probably mad that Mischa's interview is now costing them money because the podcast purports the show experience to be sunshine and rainbows and that Mischa herself was the problem, not them.

Their set source (I repeat, this is a 20 year old show with a random set source talking to Page Six) says, “So now she wants to go say that she was bullied,” the source continued. “It wasn’t that she was bullied. People didn’t appreciate waiting for hours for her to show up.”

The source also added that Barton — who played Marissa Cooper until she exited the series in Season 3 — had a momager who was “annoying.”

“It was a mess,” the source sniffed.

And that's its own POS mess. They also try to throw MB's mother under the bus in the book by saying she...... advocated for her daughter? By working as her manager and being on set? Nuala is on my shit list for a 1000 reasons and none of them are because she was on set advocating for her child/client. They really thought they did something with this Page Six hit job.

But Mischa responded to it with this kickass statement, "There was a lot going on. Whether I was late or not doesn’t excuse certain behavior from individuals in powerful positions. Everyone experiences things differently and where I acknowledge some of my past behavior may not have been helpful in certain instances, I will tell my truth when I feel ready.”

Then on June 11, 2021, Mischa published this op-ed in Harper's Bazaar UK.

There's radio silence on the issue until Adam Brody appears on the podcast for 126 in November 2021 and the pod women tell him (poorly, I may add) about the E interview from May. He says he didn't see any bullying but that he rarely worked with MB. Says he feels good about his own behavior with her. He does say that set is not a protective environment and several other nice things about her that put him in my good books forever.

Then there's true radio silence until Mischa finally agrees to be on the podcast during a weekend fandom convention she attends with Melinda and Tate in August 2022. They film the pod ep in December 2022 and it's posted in January 2023. None of the bullying allegations are discussed.

The allegations are also never mentioned in the celebratory book that is published in November 2023.

MB is asked about on-set bullying on CHD in February this year and in her answer mentions backtalk with some people behind the scenes, and brings up friction with guest stars.

Since then, Mischa has posted photos on IG that Rachel has commented on and Mischa replied to one of them in kind so I'd say things between them are... decent.

i was always so put off by stephanie savage calling taylor townsend (a character i do actually like) “sex positive” in the oral history and i think i’m finally figuring out why. the first sexual relationship of taylor’s that we’re introduced to is with the dean, a relationship that never gets the criticism it deserves within the narrative. no one properly addresses it as predatory - the dean is of course called “the dirty dean” but no one actually sees taylor as a victim. sandy, for all his morality, doesn’t even think of reporting him but instead only leverages this information to get ryan back in school (which is so awful i don’t even know where to start.) i think it’s the definition of cop out to pat themselves on the back for making a “sex-positive character” (please be serious) with the way they treated mischa, a teenage girl who was also in a predatory relationship that no one on set addressed as such, who was punished for leaving that relationship, who failed to be protected by the adults around her. that’s not very sex positive of you stephanie savage! marissa’s depression in s3 being referred to as a “slut spiral” by her BEST FRIEND is not very sex positive either! the oc was not sex positive, behind or in front of the camera, in any way!

Whenever Ms. Savage opens her mouth I just know some bullshit is about to come out so I plan accordingly. You bringing this up reminds me of the podcast early on saying all the female characters on the show are strong except Marissa. And it's like... we're still saying shit like this in the 2020s?

But to your point, yes exactly that's a nasty way of framing a teenage girl such as Taylor as sex positive. What a disgusting arc and resolution that was. As if s1 Sandy, or even s2 Sandy, would only give a shit about a relationship between an adult and a student in their high school so long as his son is readmitted to said school. Horrendous.

And for a character they label as sex positive to be having race-based threesomes later on in the same season is just... yikes. That 100% does not erase the dean arc (!!) but like... how is this also forgotten. Like I'm gonna forget the shit about a "Korean barbecue"?

What does sex positive even mean to these people? That a character has sex without being slut shamed? They have always acted like these characters are corporeal beings and that these same mfs weren't writing them down. Christ. Marissa has meaningless sex with Luke/DJ/Volchok and that's still not what they want in order to categorize her or... whatever else they still do to denigrate her.

ETA: Also like sorry Marissa was SA'ed so she couldn't be perky and light re: sex?? except for the unicorn of an episode that was 303

The more they open their mouths the more people realize that place was a shitshow and at least I have that. For years and years that set was a mystery and we were all like "guess we'll never really know what went down, oh well" 🤷‍♀️

I love Mischa on CHD alluding to being the island they said she was by s2 and she's basically like "Hmm, I wonder why that was...." queen shit. She alludes to so many book things without mentioning it once, god bless.

I have a question about baby Carter 🥹 in the 4 nations piece you mentioned that when he was born there was a health scare regarding him as well as doctor trips in I’m assuming the months after and that he and Carson are just very bonded from all that. Is he sick in someway? Or how do you imagine all that stuff especially with Carson and Auston struggling to be away from him for too long

Pls, writing wise I guess I haven’t gone into a ton of detail about Carter and everything that’s going on with him. But essentially, yes. I imagine him having a congenital heart disease that he’s born with and stems from the complications Carson had during her pregnancy. Apart from that, he is completely healthy. However, his CHD does effect some things, he receives treatment when he’s still very young but isn’t deemed life threatening. It’s just something that needs to be considered and monitored and will continue to need that attention for the rest of his life. Timeline wise, presently speaking, Carter would be turning one in June so everything with his CHD is still very much so Carson and Auston are learning to navigate

It’s a bit rich to assume Colson would know the existence of that video let alone ask his so called ‘friend’ for editing or deleting it. That interview happened sometime last week and only bc his fans found it are we even having a discussion.

Maybe you need to go back and check the interview as it was Brittany who broached that topic when she said Christina & Colson should date. Only then did the friend ‘shot her shot’ even while doubting if he was even single. Again it was her that then said they are on & off by quoting Megans interview out of context during Coachella or her ig posts. If she gets her info like how we all do then she must atleast be updated before wading into that territory.

Also Jelly called Megan his WIFE. Not gf or anything but WIFE. Not sure about anyone but I would assume that would be a serious breach of privacy if anyone called someone their wife without their consent first. Are you going to tell me that he did it without Colson/Megans permission or consent? Why would anyone assume anything else if that’s the last we heard about the relationship.

Also this whole business of saying they are constantly on & off is maybe a bit of a stretch as frankly that’s more of a folklore atp , as I haven’t seen either of them ever say they are off. It’s more of a projection from doomsday sayers. What Megan said in CHD interview was that she thinks the relationship is not for public consumption and that she would always be tethered to him in some way. That doesn’t mean they are not a couple . Also all these things that anyones quoting are from Feb & April. Not sure how’s that relevant now after we know they are still together.

I believe they are on and off, based on how many times they've physically broken up. I'm sure I'm not the first person to say this, and neither is Brittany. I'm sure if Dub, Baze, Slim, or Rook were on a panel, they would say the same. I'm sure for some couples that is neither healthy nor normal, but that is the reality for them. Colson even mentioned it on Bunnie's podcast that the "hate" doesn't know if they are winning or losing, and sometimes they've won. What about that doesn't give you the perception that they are on and off? Tethered in some way? Doesn't give you the perception of a woman trying to figure out her situation with a guy? She can't even call him her fiancé, boyfriend, or husband. Heck, she won't even give him an inch and call him an ex. If I didn't know any better, I'd drop the relationship title completely and call it a situation ship since neither of them know what to call themselves.

Now I'll admit, I didn't watch the entirety of Brittany's podcast, just the snippets I've seen online. However, even with that little information, I still don't think it's a huge deal. Brittany is not following accounts like foxy kells to keep up with Megan and Colson. The average individual most likely assumed that they are broken up, hence the many comments you see on posts of them together questioning the validity of their relationship. What loyalty does she owe to a relationship that she doesn't even think still exists? Jelly calling Megan Colson's wife is not this huge declaration, at least not in the south. Jelly, Bunnie, Brittany, are all Colson's friends. They are not Megan and Colson's friends, they are his friends first. Bunnie, although very sweet, is not besties with Megan like Jelly and Colson are with each other. If things hit the fan, they will go where he goes and run to his aid. Megan has more of a relationship with the Kardashians than she does with these people. So like I said before, he can always call for the video to be edited, or solidify his relationship with Brittany so she won't continue trying to pimp him out to her friends. And considering "he sees everything" per EST, then I'm sure he's seen the video floating around.

A bit of an informative post this time, a little bit about me and my art;

•I am in college and studying to be a marine biologist.

•I’m autistic and tend to overexplain things. Usually I don’t like the publicize it, but given that this is an information post I figured it would be worth mentioning.

•I’ve been drawing seriously since about 5th grade, so… give or take about 9 years.

•I used to be a primarily traditional artist, pen and paper, you know. But once I got out of high school, I found it difficult to do it- something about the environment of general highschool made drawing like that easier I guess?? I don’t draw every day, like I used to, but I still make a habit of doing it.

•Despite that, I still very much am a detail oriented artist, leading to my more detail-focused art style and tendency to not color my drawings and just focus on the sketches. I put a lot of detail into my linework, but every time I end up coloring, I find that the sketch always looked better. I do want to work on coloring, though, as I feel my art is not as eye catching to an audience without it.

•My other hobbies other than art consist of playing video games and writing. I’m a decent writer.

ive talked about this before in the comments of a post on the alnst community, but I'll bring back my reasoning:

1 Medically, its hard to believe that the poster Luka is a clone: because of his fingers.

As shown in All-In, his purple fingers appeared after the fight with Hyun Woo, presumably physical extertion, he wasn't born with them. According to canon, they may be a consequence of his congenital heart disease (that I will use the notation CHD for from now on), due to blood not getting to the heart properly = impaired peripheral circulation, or, the fan-made theory, Raynaud's phenomenon/syndrome, which also brings the symptom mentioned earlier. "But Akane, these can both be genetic!" Yes, but considering that his purple fingers appeared presumably way after his birth, the chances of getting a baby with the exact same characteristic is, in my opinion, quite small. In fact, small enough that I don't think the aliens would care to try again and again. Even so, I'm not an expert in cloning (obviously), but considering my medical knowledge, CHD doesn't always get transmitted from parent to child, and often needs exterior "help" to form (chromosome abnormalities, environmental factors, mom's habits, etc), and from what i know, Luka doesn't carry his clones (who knows?) and again, what I was saying, i don't think the aliens would care enough about Luka's purple fingers to try again and again and again to get the perfect "combination" of Luka.

2 Chronologically speaking, it doesn't make sense.

According to Wiege, all the clones were about the same age as Luka before he killed them all. In this Universe, it seems cloning and genetical engineering is common, but the acceleration of growth doesn't appear to be possible (but I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be possible, since we have something in that direction nowadays with meat chickens, but of course, said animals have many severe health problems and a heavily reduced lifespan). I doubt that in 7 years they could have gotten a perfectly grown clone with purple fingers and the same performing abilities. Plus, the clone would've likely been different from og Luka, since only between 30-60% of personality can be inheritable (emphasis on can).

3 This may sound stupid, but I personally believe that Vivimeng wouldn't do this after what happened during Wiege and Karma.

Many times before Karma, I complained togheter with my friends that Till's death made Ivan's sacrifice completely useless, that he died immediately after and didn't have time to ponder on Ivan's feelings and what everything that Round 6 is meant. And guess what? Till is alive. He was forced to be saved and keep living, to understand his own heart and grow from the person he used to be.

This is what I believe Luka will go through as well. Similarly, Hyuna died for him, but it was revenge, and a wish to make him face the people he has wronged. Killing him off mere minutes after wouldn't fulfill the puzzle his lover brought him: "Luka, live with love." The first rubik's cube that will actually take effort to solve. Luka is flawed, and in Mizi's words, he needs to stop acting righteous. He can't grow and become better, learn to love himself more and stop idolizing a ghost, and especially: Forgive himself. I don't think that Vivimeng will just throw away Hyuna's sacrifice, throw away the amazing writing of a hurt, betrayed, revengeful, and yet so inlove, woman, who wanted to give her one weakness a second chance at being human.

4 Mizi's words: "Neither you, nor I, deserve to be saved."

In the situation that Luka was, being saved wasn't being taken out of the fire, but rather dying, in my opinion. In his confused mind, there was nothing left to live for. Let's be honest, rather than being put back in the system, death would be his savior (with his true savior now dead). Also, taking into consideration that Mizi's remains haven't been found (the billboard posed the question of "Where is the culprit?), it's safe to assume that neither deserved to be saved: but neither are at the scene.

5 The clothes in the poster are reminiscent of Luka's crystal scene from Karma.

In said scene, he is wearing a black, tight fitting blouse, unlike the flowy, white clothes he's worn until now, and he is surrounded by the white-wearing twins, whose deaths he seems to feel responsible for (and definetly is, atleast for one of them). The two's clothes envelop him.

In the billboard, he is wearing something that reminds me of this scene. A crumpled white jacket (presumably) covers his thight fitted black blouse.

And in the crystal scene, he is shown to be the only one alive, witnessing the twins' deaths, (Personally, I believe that each crystal scene is a subtle reenactment of atleast one member from each couple) so I don't think that this similarity is coincidental. Plus, the obvious rebrand in the whole look is something that gives "Hey, I know we've fallen from the mainstream, but look, he's back and now he's even cooler!"

I may or may not sound very much crazy, but listen.. if the Till fans were right, then I have a chance to be as well, right? ha..haha..

All I’m saying is it’s still weird how he hasn’t spoke on the pregnancy. It’s been 11 days. No one from their team has. It’s all Megan’s team and people in her circle. Even when Sharna was asked about it on entertainment news she went “we’re so excited for HER” not THEM. It’s like all about HER. Wouldn’t the proper way be mentioning the both of them for everyone? It just doesn’t add up. I feel like she was desperate for another baby, he did her a favor or she did ivf or something. But it also leads me back to CHD when she claimed she couldn’t put a label on them. Maybe they weren’t romantically together anymore still. Idk it’s farfetched but wouldn’t we all think that he would’ve said something already? It’s just weird. And if he hasn’t seen sunlight in 4 days, he’s probably been stuck in the studio, day to night or something. Wouldn’t you want to be spending time with her? Especially after doing so much traveling lately too? Idk something doesn’t add up here.

Maybe he is kind of regretting getting her pregnant or reality set in and know he is like fuck but doesn't want to say anything to pretend this new reality does not exist. Also, Sharna and Megan's team are going to be on M's side, they have a stronger connection to her so I can see why they wouldn't mention him but still it's not that hard to say congrats to THEM or the couple.

I hope it gets cleared up soon cuz I hate when they drop their bombs and then leave us to make up conclusions and fill in the blanks

The Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) report briefly mentioned electromagnetic radiation (EMR), but failed to accurately convey the scientific literature revealing how it harms human health, according to EMR experts and safe technology advocates who spoke with The Defender.

“The MAHA Report,” released May 22, identified four “key drivers” behind the childhood chronic disease epidemic. EMR, which wasn’t included as a main driver, was mentioned only briefly in the report’s section on environmental chemicals.

Miriam Eckenfels, director of Children’s Health Defense’s (CHD) Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR) & Wireless Program, said EMR should have been listed as a fifth main driver.

“The report’s discussion of EMR serves as a conversation-starter,” Eckenfels said. “But it misses the mark in terms of acknowledging the impact of wireless radiation on the childhood chronic disease epidemic.”

For instance, the report failed to mention that studies have linked wireless radiation exposure to impaired blood sugar regulation and neuropsychiatric effects, including depression, Eckenfels said.

That whole never being in love thing always felt like it was half a marketing tactic and half he doesn’t know what it is. That’s why in CHD he says he thinks he’s been in love, but that it changes once he meets someone new. Even mentioned his highschool girlfriend in the interview. And then he thinks the new person is love. He said he thinks your idea of love gets dialed in as you get older and know what you want. Jack said he still hasn’t felt the highest heights of love. Which I agree with. Because I definitely thought I was in love with my highschool boyfriend. But it’s really just what I was mentally capable of at the time. It was more so infatuation.

i'm 35 and the oc has been my entire life as a teenager/young adult and i love this show so much. i was wondering when you became a fan and what does your life look like now? do you still rewatch it a lot? what are your least favorite plotlines in s1-s4? i love hearing your thoughts. take care :)

Hi! You're very sweet, thank you! So just as a heads up my answers here are going to veer into the negative because I'm in a super negative space with the show as of late and I don't see that changing anytime soon. I apologize in advance for the soapbox. (and I mean really really negative)

For starters, I never watch the final season. I barely even watch s3, and haven't seen a complete s3 episode in a while. Certain scenes, though, yes and on a loop. Though not lately. But the final season doesn't exist to me because I find it repulsive and a stain on the entire show before it, even the horrendous third season. I often wish I could be like Adam Brody and separate the show into 's1 vs the other bullshit'. Believe me, I'm trying. Though I'd say splitting the show in half is best since you get to end on the shooting. S1 is on another level entirely and it wasn't until CHD that I understood why (for the most part). And that's a really terrible realization the more I think about it.

I'm almost 30 and I started watching when I was about 16 in high school. My life now is... not very exciting, lol. I work too much. Sometimes I don't work enough. I struggle with mental health (as evidenced by how seriously I take this stuff). I got into this show maybe a year or two after it had been off the air and Tumblr (and FanForum) was a super fun place to be at that time (2009/2010ish). The remaining Marissa fandom in particular was just cozy and sweet. We saw ourselves in her, had head canons, made fan art, discussed what she'd be up to, etc. I obviously wasn't part of the OG Marissa/Mischa fandom so I was pretty unaware of the shit they dealt with. On Tumblr we just celebrated her and it meant a lot to me.

For years, I, like many, thought Mischa chose to leave on her own. I could semi-stomach 325 as an arc, while still refusing to watch the next season in rewatches. This is the 2010s when JS was yelling "Tragedy was in her DNA" etc. But ever since MB started talking more about her experiences in 2021, and the podcast talking around her and Marissa forever, not to mention their shitty responses to her claims of bullying by men in power, I have been on a downward trajectory with it. The book is giving us maybe 10% of what really happened on that set. Mischa has been carrying the secret of her first relationship on her shoulders for 20 years, one that went on for months when she was 17 years old, and they all well fucking know that. I am in genuine disbelief at how they treated her then and how they treat her now. This isn't a fictional character. This is a real fucking person they keep screwing over!

But that does bring me to my next point which is that this show was unbelievably influenced by irl dynamics and I think that is disgusting. It's not just stealing Death Cab away from Adam (though I have my own thoughts on all that). There's a reason Ryan never pines for Marissa in the same way she pines for him in s2. Why he pretends she doesn't exist when he isn't dating her (from s2 on). There's an extremely charged energy to the way he verbally abuses her in 209. Like... this happened to MB at just 18. And look at how they modeled Volchok after Cisco and how they made MB pretend to do coke on camera when they knew full well she had a sober coach on set. Like, I know enough to put me off the show forever, but I am unfortunately endlessly fascinated by it. I'm sorry that I can't take the show at face value anymore, because it did and does still mean a great deal to me. But they thought they were in the clear 20 years later to only partially air their dirty laundry without much pushback and MB had the guts to say "well hold on" and be a thousand times more graceful doing so than I ever would. And we still don't know even a fraction of everything else that went down to this very real teenage girl they used and abused. Not to mention how JS/SS abruptly fired her and didn't even have the balls to tell her to her face. Her father told Josh's ass to stay away from the 325 set and he DID. Christ alive, this man should never work again.

I don't feel great about going all guns blazing here but I'm very tired and I get very little joy from the show right now. And I'm sorry that this is definitely not the response you were probably hoping for. To be clear, I want to enjoy the show. It means more to me than any other, probably. It's why I've been on this website since I was a teenager. But many aspects of it have been ruined for me and idk if there's a way back. How they purport themselves to be a family show still to this day when they treated the girl that they pursued for the job (at 16!) like shit is egregious. I will never be over it.

Different anon. She might not be racist, but she is the very least aware of white privilege, or she wouldn't have allegedly changed eye color to make the most out of it. She has this weird thin nose obsession: she was unironically freaking out on the CHD podcast about lack of make up, even after the countless surgeries and on the Instagram live where she applied makeup on her man, she kept praising him for how much small his nose is, same man who fathered a biracial black daughter. There is more. All the boasting about how special and unique the kids she would have with "twin flame" would be, the fixation with "blonde angel baby" being half Norwegian, the mention of their ancestors teaming up (where did they meet, on the Mayflower?) just to bring them together... if you don't want to see her as “colorist”, “featurist” or as somebody "proud about being white", you have to admit she is at least extremely tone-deaf. Wouldn't be surprised if she became ableist too and came up with a fake spectrum self diagnosis just to justify all the stuff she said.

We know for a fact she might xenophobic towards other white women like her. She mocked and sexually objectified Eastern Euro women in a time as rape was being used against them as a war weapon. And this was for an Instagram caption, so she couldn't use "they twisted my words" excuse, this time.

What can she possibly think of brown and black women?

I get that she is tone deaf and has eurocentric beauty ideals, but I wouldn't call that racist. If she’s just applying those standards to herself and not claiming they’re superior to anyone else’s, then it’s her choice to keep altering her appearance. Honestly, her changes seem more like a reflection of her own insecurities and self-esteem issues.

Her fixation on Colon's traits and the desire to pass those on to a child definitely comes off as featurist and, honestly, feels like a weird fetishization of European beauty standards.
